Prior to forming Jack Emick Design, Jack was co-founder of Seattle based EHA in 1977 and EHS design in 1992. Jack sold EHS in 2015 and JED was formed specifically to provide full service architecture, interior, and product design services. The new venture is grounded in the relationships and associations established over the forty year history of EHA. The new venture is a composite of clients, vendors, contractors, brokers, and most importantly – several former employees. Notably, Charles Fritzemeier Director of Architecture and AJ Wright, architect and others.

The firms basic approach to projects is centered on building the best team for each new commission which includes a “hands on” experienced employee team, associates, contractors, brokers, developers, and financial resources.

Current projects include tenant improvement, corporate and mixed-use architecture, product design, and interior design for a broad range of clients on the west coast that include: headquarters and design studios for Simply Blue, Coca Cola regional headquarters, Ameriprise, projects for Swift Real Estate Development, Hagens Berman, several law firms and tenant improvement projects, products for various manufacturers. Other clients include: AT&T, Nintendo, Holland America, Cairncross Hemplemann, Savitt Bruce Willey, CBRE, AIG, Wells Fargo, Bank of America, and hundreds of others.
